As a student of sociology and psychology I'd like to know what the fuck happened to the term "meme". When did meme stop meaning meme and start meaning some kind of gay internet faggotry.

Out of curiosity, wasn't Dawkins the one who first used the word "meme," and in reference to religion?
I think it's used so much in respects to the Internet because of the way people spread these quizzes and stuff, which is kind of memetic in its socially self-promulgating method.
